Bush's Last Year Could Be The Worst and Most Dangerous - Vol. 3 Issue 89

Yes, History is fickle. Over the course of time there is always the remote possibility that bad leaders, like George W. Bush, can escape the harsh judgment of later generations. So, it would be foolish to predict with complete certainty that future historians will view the Bush-Cheney administration with disdain. The process of spinning the Bush record has already begun and perhaps over time the Neocon nomenclature will succeed in obfuscating the truth. The fact that most contemporary historians of the American Presidency rate Bush as the worst President in our history merely describes current thinking. No one can predict the future.

Having said that, America and the world community faces 14 months of very real danger. Just as the Bush-Cheney secret government lied and manipulated our nation into the disaster of Iraq, it is now in the final stage of repeating the same techniques to create war with Iran. It is of public record that shortly after 9/11, Iran offered to enter into direct unconditional diplomatic talks regarding relations between the U.S and Iran. See, Esquire.com. It was not Iran that destroyed the potential “new relationship” with the United States; rather, it was ideological pressure from the Vulcans (Cheney, Rice, Pearle, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, et. al.) that created the absurd policy of only talking to our “friends.” Axis of evil, indeed! Make no mistake; with Pakistan about to fall to the Islamic fundamentalists, U.S. leadership could not be in worse hands. While President Bush blithely vetoes healthcare for children because it supposedly “busts the budget,” we continue to spend $300,000,000 PER DAY in Iraq, Afghanistan and the failing War on Terror.
